  • NRDE Program Update (November 2014)

    NRDE consultation is now complete. Port Metro Vancouver has released the Proposed 2015 Fee Document, which includes the new NRDE Fee. This new fee will be effective January 1, 2015. Program details, including how and when to register will be posted on this page in the near future.

  • Round 3 Consultation Follow-Up (September 2014)

    Thank you to everyone that submitted comments and questions during Round 3 Consultation. We received questions about how the proposed fee will be calculated for engines operating at lower hours of use. The following provides further information about how the proposed fee will be calculated.

    • All engines operating 2,000 hours or more per year will be assessed the maximum annual operating fee as follows:[ engine horsepower] X [fee rate]

    Port Metro Vancouver has updated the proposed NRDE program based on feedback from the first two rounds of consultation and further analysis. The current proposed program is described in the following presentation. Port Metro Vancouver is interested in your comments on the proposed program, and invites you to provide your feedback by contacting Christine Rigby (see contact details in the side bar); OR by submitting a comment on the "Round 3 Comments" tab.


    Round 3 Consultation will be open until September 2, 2014.

    PMV continues to meet with a voluntary Technical Advisory Group (TAG) composed of tenant representatives. The TAG is providing feedback to PMV on the continuing development of the NRDE program. The meeting notes from the second TAG meeting are posted here.

    As requested during Round 1 Consultation, PMV has formed a voluntary Technical Advisory Group (TAG) composed of tenant representatives. The TAG will provide feedback to PMV regarding the NRDE program based on their knowledge about the operations of non-road equipment on Port lands.
